These nails are gross. Why would you have these objects off of your nails and why would you have your nails growing that long for?

  • 2 taurusgirl // Aug 20, 2008 at 9:42 am

Its sad when people speak about things that they know nothing about. Its very clear from the previous comment. All of the nails are beautiful pieces of ART. Keep up the great work!!!

Why do black people always have to have something to draw attention to themselves? Isnt being black enough?

What ever happened to ‘less is more’ ?

I love 3d nail art. It’s so hard to find a tech who will do it in Houston. I wonder if ANYONE does it in Texas. I’ve been trying to find ways to do it on my own since I know they sell kits in Asia.

Ignorant comments, are ignorant thoughts ,of a ignorant person, that should be kept to them ignorant selves. To bad you are one who likes negative attention. Get some help. I am black, proud to be black and I get my attention from being a young lady, who keeps herself looking good, who is educated and appreciated by many. So you are out numbered and you really don’t make a difference. This page is not really for someone who cant appreciate talent and hard work that goes in to this art work. It takes a talented individual to produce masterpieces like these. Keep doing what you’re doing ladies. Its haters like these who make us feel like stars and keeps are talent rising at an all time high. Must be sumthin they wish they had. holla!

that comment about blacks excuse me african americans was very racial and steriotypical. whether you know it or not, that kind of nail art goes for a lot of money and recognition at fashion shows, competitions, etc. let me see you do it?

these nails are gorgeous pieces of art. some people put art on canvas, some on billboards, some on regular paper. we choose to put ours on nails. just like there are couture fashion shows in paris where models walk out in chains and feathers, we wont wear that everday. same as the nails pictured. we get inspiration from it. it also lets us as nail techs know that with this nail-acrylic business, the opportunies are endless. im kim and i work in a nail salon in cincinnati, oh. studio 360. i do 3-d, spirals, junk, all types.

  • 12 sheena // Jan 8, 2009 at 7:31 pm

The nail art is gorgeous. I have had similar nail art but not as banging to the ones that are shown. I’m from VA, I might just have to take a trip to Detroit just to get my nails done.

These are very beautiful displayes of the artists creativity. They are very unique and captivating. So if you are a person who can’t see that, then that is your right, but it is not very smart of you to hate on a person gor their vision. Yes being black is great, but that comment was very raciast and stupid. I am so sorry for you, u will never be able to relate to the dream of an artist. Keep up the excellent work.

It’s true, that was a stupid comment. Speaking as a white woman. All people like to draw attention to themselves male & female, whatever color you are. And yes we caucasians are becoming very out-numbered. On the topic of the nails they are quit different & beautiful. I haven’t seen anything like them in Portland. With such an artistic community you’d think we’d have. Great look ladies!

  • 21 casey // Apr 14, 2009 at 10:03 pm

i think all this stuff is just a matter of opinion. black or white, doesn’t matter. i personally don’t see how these are attractive on the average person at all. if i saw a girl at the mall with these nails i’d probably make fun of her. however, as individual pieces of art, they are absolutely spectacular. just not practical, considering i have no idea how one would write, drive, text, type (essentially do ANYTHING) with those ridiculous things hanging off their fingers. it’s more the length that baffles me than the actually design. which looks wicked sweet.
    kudos to the artists though.

As a nail tech I can’t get enough clients who want to try the 3D stuff. It streaches my creativity and imagaination. When it comes to nails only your imagination is your limitation and what ever they may be you can express yourself through your nails like some men might by wearing kooky looking ties. As to the numbers and colour of people doing this type of art and wearing it, Asia is King. The Korean and Japenese tech’s are currently best in the world and I can’t wait for the next NAILYOMPLICS.

I’m a nail tech in Las Vegas and I love the art! Nails are my life and I enjoy making my clients hapy!
