Hypnosis is a state of trance achieved by certain techniques. In this state you are more aware and more in the present. Suddenly the thought of your conscious mind are diminished and you are more open to suggestions.
It is important to internalize the fact that we can’t be lead to do things we don’t desire with hypnosis. First we must agree with what is going to happen. (It’s not that they say “jump off the roof” and you do it). And second we must also know the fact that there are not such people that ”never wake up form the trance”. Everybody wakes up, because this state is just like other common state we all know: sleep.
Nail Biting Hypnosis – How it Works
Nail biting is a habit. Habits are according to Random House Unabridged “an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary” this means that if you bite your nails you do it because you have been doing it for quite a while, and this behavior has entered the subconscious – you end up putting your fingers in your mouth without even noticing it.
Since it is a behavior that resides in the subconscious, it makes total sense that you ‘attack it’ from there. Hypnosis will suggest your mind to stop nail biting but in a positive way, slowly, these positive hypnotic suggestions will enter your mind and almost as silently as nail biting entered your life, it will leave.

In the quest of finally quitting nail biting, many products have sprouted on the market, among them; nail biting creams are some of the oldest methods to get rid of this bad habit for good.
Nail biting creams are applied in the same manner as you would apply polish to your nails. You must spread them evenly on the surface of the nail. So, what do they do? They repel you from putting your finger on your mouth, because these creams have a bitter taste that all humans dislike. But, it comes with a twist: nail biting creams will also help to the health of your nail.
The best nail biting creams come included with vitamins and nutrients that will help your nail grow healthy and recover faster. The most common ingredients they have is aloe, vitamin A and vitamin E.
- The aloe has skin soothing and cell-protecting properties.
- Vitamin A has not only eyesight properties, but also acts as an antioxidant that neutralizes harmful elements on our skin.
- Vitamin E eliminates harmful free radicals
Since the skin around the nail is damaged as well, this help is great. However, there is a bad side to applying creams: you need to keep applying the daily until one day you un-learn the nail biting behavior. These may take some time, and money, not to mention to learn the habit of putting cream on your nail every single day.
Creams for nail biting have been proven very helpful for people around the world. You must try it first to see if you feel comfortable with this method.

Solar nails are the no hassle artificial nails. They do not need to have nail polish so after the pink part is added you are on your way
The first thing your nail technician will do to apply solar nails is to brush on the “white part” of the French nail. Then the next application is the “pink part”, which goes over the “white”. The acrylic is the “pink”.

A lot of people wonder how they can stop biting their nails. There are a few tricks you can use to stop nail-biting. Unless you want to go the hypnosis route, which some people swear by, you do have a couple options other than sheer willpower. One is to apply the very disgusting (and therefore, highly successful) nail biting cream like Control It!), which you paint onto your nails. It tastes so bitter you won’t dare bite them. A new product on the market which doesn’t taste any better, but is definitely worth trying is Jessica ‘Nibble No More,’ a no-nail-biting polish with bitter cactus extract as its secret ingredient. Another option is to keep your nails painted.

STEP 2 Apply Propaint ‘Night’ with the Slim Brush n°1 in a cross shape. Apply these crosses not in the middle but a bit off centre. These stripes run through towards the other side of the nail so they run underneath the following steps.
STEP 3 Apply a range of Stars, Pearls and Glitterstones of your choice. Put all these stones in the middle of the nail. Use a variation of sizes and shapes. It is advisable to use colours that go well together. Use the colours of the glitter polish as a guideline.
STEP 4 Apply a layer of Hot Gloss to seal and protect the entire nail.

Myths about Gel Nails:
1) Myth: Gel nails are soooooo easy to do, they apply just like nail polish! Anyone can do them! (Then why isn’t everybody already doing them?) The truth: “Gel nails are easy to learn, but hard to master”.
2) Myth: Gel nails are “lumpy” because you can’t file them or do finish work. The truth: Gel nails are non-porous and completely cured, there is no reason not to file them to perfection if needed!
