Great Nails with Gel Nails
Most women are finding gel nails as great alternative to having naturally long nails. While having long and perfectly polished nails look glamorous and feminine, growing nails in a natural way takes time. Maintenance of long nails can quite be a hassle also especially once keratin starts to build up or when the edges break and become uneven.
Gel nails offer a modern way to have longer nails without having to grow them naturally. These form of artificial nails are “light cured” gels and are a combination of monomers and polymers. They look more natural compared to other forms of artificial nails.
There are generally two types based on the method of application. One type makes use of ultraviolet light in order to be applied on the natural nails; while the other type is considered “no light” gel, meaning light is not a requirement to apply them. Instead, the nails are dipped in water for several minutes after application.
When compared with other types of artificial nails, gel nails look more natural. They have a closer resemblance to a person’s real fingernails. However, even though they are made from strong components, some regarded them as less durable compared to other forms of artificial nails such as the acrylic nails. Contrary to what other people think, these nails are not lumpy. In fact, they are non-porous and perfectly cured so you can file them whenever you need to. You can apply nail polish on them with ease and your nails can look naturally beautiful and elegant.
Application of this type of artificial nails is also much different as compared to the other types of nails. It is relatively hard to learn how to apply them properly. The procedure actually takes time to master. Basically, gel nails do not only provide a natural finish, they also provide an alternative means to have beautifully long and well-maintained nails.
